InVeris Training Solutions / 2022-PresentÂ
When I joined InVeris, the company had gone roughly a decade without anyone dedicated to our interactive Use-of-Force video training product. The workflow had evaporated: little documentation existed, video technology had evolved, and there was no real process for planning scenarios - the direction I inherited was essentially "go make more," with no framework for training objectives or market needs.
The process took far too long, driving costs higher. Hit-detection masks were drawn manually frame by frame, and a lack of standardized plans led to broken scenario flows down the pipeline.
I was hired specifically to improve this workflow while also producing up-to-date scenarios. Over four years, I've owned the problem end to end - process design, workflow documentation, hands-on production, software development, and delivery on live customer projects.
Rebuilt the Use-of-Force workflow and documented it both internally and in a customer-facing manual.
Worked with a law enforcement consultant to understand and document what makes training valuable.
Redesigned the scenario diagram format, condensing 6-8 confusing pages into one concise page.
Collaborated with our software team to build a plugin that translates After Effects rotoscoping into usable scoring masks, reducing time spent on that task by 60%.
Built a pricing calculator based on real tracked hours for quick customer quotes.
Compiled a written inventory of the 300+ scenarios accumulated over ~20 years, then built a custom application that generates PDF and interactive HTML catalogs for the sales team and customers.
Built new software for customer-owned scenario authoring through AI coding - video editing, automated scoring, scenario branching, and formatted diagrams in a single app - replacing costly Adobe subscriptions and reducing handoff errors.
Designed, filmed, edited, and assembled 120+ scenarios for customers spanning local law enforcement to international armed services.
Trained customers to produce their own scenarios.
